This policy brief, written in collaboration with the Latino Research Center (LRC) at the University of Nevada, Reno, explores Hispanic/Latino attitudes and knowledge regarding Nevada’s Question 3 on electoral reform. It identifies knowledge gaps regarding Nevada’s current electoral system and Question 3’s proposed reforms, as well as key areas of interest among Hispanic/Latino respondents, such as how reforms might impact voter participation or candidate behavior.
Support for Question 3 was relatively high among Hispanic/Latino respondents but marked by uncertainty, with 37% undecided at the time this survey was conducted. The findings suggest that targeted resources and clear communication could help bridge knowledge gaps, enabling Hispanic/Latino voters to better understand electoral changes and their implications.
